SCIP is running a lunchtime briefing on WordPress.com on Monday 20th September. This is an ideal opportunity for people new to WordPress to come along and find out what all the fuss is about. Learn how the tools work, see some examples, and find out whether it’ll work for you. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.

A light lunch and refreshments will be served, and there’ll be plenty of opportunities to talk to the SCIP team, and network with other attendees.

For more details and booking information, please go to Eventbrite.

There are lots and lots of blogs supporting WordPress – some better than others. OneCoolSiteBloggingTips is one of the best we’ve seen.  It’s operated by “TimeThief” – a name that you will have seen if you’ve ever had to look at the WordPress Support and Forums pages.

It’s an simple site to navigate around and set out in an easy to read magazine style.  Another highly recommended site for your bookmarks list.

Well designed icons make a real difference to how people view, navigate and respond to your site.  IconFinder is a rich resource of free icons – available as individual items or in sets where relevant.
